Welcome to The Nurtons

Organic B&B overlooking Tintern in the Beautiful Wye Valley

Situated on a gently sloping south facing hillside, the Nurtons, with its colourful history, is the oldest house in Tintern with parts dating back to the 12th century or earlier: the site itself dating back to at least the Roman era.

Away from the main road (with ample off-road parking), peace and tranquility may be found in 30 acres of secluded garden and woodland. The views from the front over the valley are breathtaking.

Each comfortable B&B en-suite room is unique because of differing ages of the parts of the house -from Elizabethan to modern. Sitting areas or even private sitting rooms are integral to each suite.

In keeping with our way of life, your food is grown organically and our heating derives mostly from wood and solar panels. We invite you to recycle as much as possible.

We are ideally placed to enjoy many local walks and attractions including the Wye Valley Walk, Offa's Dyke Path, Tintern Abbey, the Forest of Dean and the impressive castles of the Welsh Marches.

You are of course welcome to relax and unwind all day at the Nurtons in the house and gardens.

The house and gardens are non-smoking areas
